We are strong believers in the importance of art in a child’s development. Art fosters skills in creativity, communication, and cognitive abilities while also promoting emotional expression, self-empowerment, and social interaction.

Owner and founder, Jesse Kincade, has spent her life immersed in the arts. Raised in a family of artists, she was encouraged and inspired to follow her own creative journey. Jesse moved from San Francisco to Nevada County in 2020 where she is now raising two budding artists.

She earned her degree in psychology, focusing on behavioral research, and spent most of her career supporting adults and children with developmental disabilities. Jesse spent 3 years as the co-founder and program director of an after school Art Therapy program before venturing out on her own to bring The Art Place Studio to the community that she is so grateful to be a part of.
